Lesson 1

Data is information about people and things. Data can be organized and sorted.

Tally table uses tally marks to show how often something happens.

Lesson 2

An experiment is a test done to record data.

Example... Which letter in the alphabet is the most often used and which letter is the least often used?

Create a tally chart to record your data first. (use tally marks to record each letter you read in a paragraph from a story you are reading.)

Results are the answers of a survey.

Use what you have learned about tally charts and frequency charts to make a table to use to record your data.
