Grammar - Combing Sentences

If two sentences have the same subject, they can be combined by joining the predicates.

 

  1. Slyvia used a Jim Suit to make record breaking dives.  Slyvia's dive suit was attached to a tiny sub.

Slyvia used a Jim Suit to make a record breaking dives and the dive suit was attached to a tiny sub.

If two sentences the same predicate, they can be combined by joining the subjects.

        2. Divers explore the underwater seasScientists explore the underwater seas.

Divers and scientists explore the underwater seas.

Two related sentences can be joined with a comma and and. The comma comes before the and.

3.  Slyvia and Graham Hawkes have made new one person subThey named their sub Deep Flight.

Slyvia and Graham Hawkes have made a new one person sub, and they call their sub Deep Flight.
