            Plural Possessive Nouns

For most plural possessive nouns the noun ends with a s - so an apostrophe follows the s... cats' toys.
For plural possessive nouns that do not end with a s, you add the apostrophe followed by a s ... mice's cheese.

All of the boys faces were turned toward the rainbow.

Ask yourself... Who owns something?

All of the boys faces were turned toward the rainbow.

Ask yourself... What do they own?

All of the boys faces were turned toward the rainbow.

Ask yourself is the noun/who a singular or plural noun?  If it is plural noun ending with s you add the apostrophe after the s.

All of the boys' faces were turned toward the rainbow.

Those ties of the men are black.

Ask yourself... Who owns something?

Those ties of the men are black.

Ask yourself... What do they own?

Those ties of the men are black.

Since men is already in its plural form, you need to add an apostrophe to the end of men followed by a s to show ownership.

   Those men's ties are black.
