Geography Skills - Using Intermediate Directions

Intermediate Directions;

 

Intermediate directions are halfway between two cardinal directions.

Northeast,   Southeast,     Southwest,   and   Northwest.

Cardinal Directions are North, South, East, and West.

Compass Rose  

 

Practice using Cardinal and Intermediate directions to tell where one city is related to another city.

  1. If you were Madison, what direction would you travel to get to Milwaukee?

  2. If you were in LaCrosse, what direction would you travel to get to Janesville?
