Reading Grid Maps
| A grid map can help you to find location on a map | |
| A grid map has a grid or a set of crisscrossing lines to help you locate a place. | |
| One set of lines runs across (horizontal) and the other set runs up and down (vertical). | |
| The index tells you where to find a location. | |
| To find a location on a grid map, |
- first look in the index for the place you are looking for... letter/number.
- point to the grid letter/number on the side and the grid letter/number on the top/bottom and slide your fingers along the lines until they meet.
