Windows ME and 98 Second Edition New Account Setup
RIGHT click on the Internet Explorer Icon located on your desktop
Click properties from the dropdown menu
This will bring up a window that says "Internet properties"
Under the General Tab, you will see a line that reads "You can change which page to use for your home page".
Below that is the word Address:
followed by a box. Erase whatever is in the box and type in http://www.powerweb.net
then click the apply button.
Click on the connections tab.
You will then see a line that starts "Use the Internet Connection Wizard....", followed by a button marked SETUP.
Click once on the SETUP button. You have now begun the connectin wizard.
Select the Bottom option that reads "I want to set up my Internet Connection manually...", then click Next.
Select the option which reads "I connect through a phone line and a modem." Click next.
If prompted, choose "Create a new dial-up connection". Click Next.
Uncheck the box that says "Dial using the area code and country code". Then fill in your access phone number from the list below. Click Next.
Enter your User name and password (use lower case letters). Click Next.
For the Connection Name box, type in Power Web. Click Next
When prompted to set up an Internet Mail account click yes. Click Next.
If prompted, choose the option to Create a New Internet Mail Account. Click Next.
Type in Your Name. Click Next.
Type in your email address (EXAMPLE: russm@powerweb.net). Click Next.
Fill in mail.powerweb.net for both incoming and outgoing mail options. Click Next.
Fill in your POP account name (this is your user name. EXAMPLE: russm). Fill in your password. Check the save password box if desired. Click Next.
Click Finish.

Setting Power Web As the Home Page If you haven't already done it.
Click on the START button, click on Settings then click on Control Panels.
Double Click on Internet Options.
On the General tab, go the Home Page address.
Fill in http://www.powerweb.net then click APPLY then OK on the bottom.
