AN OPPORTUNITY TO REACH YOUR POTENTIAL

How far can a woman go in the Army?
That depends on you.

The Army experience builds pride, a sense of accomplishment, and a sprit of teamwork. It makes you feel good about yourself.

And feeling good about yourself and what you can achieve can help you reach your goals.

In the Army you'll discover things about yourself and what you can do.

You will find you have a reservoir of strength and energy you never knew you had.

You'll be achieving more than you ever imagined, mastering new skills, and fine-tuning old ones.

You'll be getting yourself into the best physical condition you've ever been in.

And all the time, you'll be building confidence and self-discipline--the kind of attributes that can also help you succeed in the civilian world.

AN OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE THE MOST OF YOURSELF

Basic training comprises the first eight weeks of your total Army experience.

It is a challenging time when you will be tested and when you will test yourself, both mentally and physically. But you'll have plenty of help and support along the way. And you'll be in great company.

Over 11,000 women go through Basic Training every year. You'll come through the experience with a sense of accomplishment and you'll be ready for new challenges and opportunities.

After completing Advanced Individual Training and receiving your assignment, you'll find your job in the Army--like any other job--allows you free time for recreation, social life, getting together with friends, and doing the things you like to do best.

AN OPPORTUNITY TO EARN UP TO $65,000 FOR COLLEGE

The Army believes that better educated people make better soldiers. That's why we offer educational opportunities while you serve, and an opportunity to earn substantial benefits to continue your education after you complete your enlistment.

You can continue your education through the Tuition Assistance Program while you serve your country.
The Army may pay a portion of your tuition costs for the approved courses you take while on active duty.
And your military expereince may earn you additional college credits as well.

And if you qualify, you can earn up to $30,000 for college with a four-year enlistment or $25,000 with a three-year enlistment through the Montgomery GI bill Plus the Army College Fund.

If you've investigated the cost of getting a higher education these days, you know that spending quality time in the Army can be well worth your while.

AN OPPORTUNITY TO TRAIN IN ONE OF NEARLY 200 SKILLS

Break out of the everyday mold!
Take control of a helicopter, learn a foreign language, or get in on the cutting edge of the high-tech revolution working in satellite communications.

In fact, you could qualify to train in one of nearly 200 Army skills, many of them with significant civilian applications.

You can assume significant responsibilities and take on exciting new challenges. And all this increases your personal confidence and self-reliance.

It also helps make you the kind of person very much in demand by civilian employers these days.

America invests billions of dollars in training young men and women in the U.S. Army in a wide range of skills that have immediate application in industry.

Army veterans bring to the job not only the skills they have learned during their service, but a sense of discipline and team spirit essential to success in today's business environment.
