PineKnoll Farm

        Home of Ed and Doreen Zieger, PineKnoll Farm is a small 14 acre Hobby Farm located in Wisconsin and was first settled in the mid 1800's.

        We have just about finished the inside renovations on the 1905 brick farmhouse. The original three room homestead is also located on the property. We are researching the history of the property. Originally a 40 acre farm deeded to Johan Zirbel in 1855 there have only been 3 families occupying the farm since that time. Johan and his wife Wilhelmina had 13 children. We are trying to determine to which of those surviving offspring the farm was deeded.

        We grow many kinds of fruits and vegetables on the farm for own own use and to preserve as well.  We grow asparagus, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, peaches, plums, apples, and a thriving vegetable garden during the summer months.

        Take a peek at the creatures that keep us company here on the farm including a canary, 3 dogs, 3 cats and various chickens.  We have a page dedicated to our favorite dog breed, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.  Take a tour and enjoy the artwork both from the Old Masters and Twentieth Century artists featuring Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.
