Add more excitement to your "Icing Station" operations with this "Fallen flags" Chicago, Milwaukee, St Paul & Pacific operating ice car. Designed to continue a tradition started with the Lionel - MPC "1973 -Milwaukee Special Passenger Train" set.

The Milwaukee Road leased these cars built in the 1940's and 50's from the Union Refrigerator Transit Company. These insulated refrigerator cars with ice bunks were used nation wide to keep its contents cool in the summer and from freezing in the winter.

This classic ice car was developed in assciation with the Milwaukee Road Historical Association, Milwaukee Lionel Railroad club Inc. members and will be manufactured by Lionel LLC. Included will be diecast sprung trucks, metal frame and 12 ice blocks.
