One day God sent an angel down
to come and set me free.
As I felt my soul leaving the angel whispered
"I'm taking you with me."
On our journey away I pleaded
"Please God, let me stay?
I have to run, I have to play...
Can I please have some more days?"
As I rose above this world
I saw more than I did on earth.
At the end of my journey I saw the Lord
He raised his arms and said
"I need you here with me."
I tried to speak, to ask him questions,
so much I needed to know.
"Why now??? What about...??? I need to..."
Before I could finish with all my questions
God gently said to me,
"Your life on earth is over now,
your death has set you free!!!
Your eternal life in Heaven has begun,
which you will always see!!"
(Shane's prayer to all his loved ones)
So now I say a prayer for you
for I'm as happy as can be!!!
I'm playing with all the angels now
Because my God in Heaven has set me free!
